Example SoundCloud command line to download a playlist
Adding this here for posterity. This worked well for me.
WINDOWS USERS > First, download then extract
ffmpeg.exe and
AtomicParsley.exe to the same folder as your youtube-dl.exe.
OTHER OS > Not sure if or what 3rd party tools you'd require sorry.
Open a command prompt and navigage to the folder where you want the playlist MP3 files saved.
In your browser and whilst logged into SoundCloud, use Developer Tools to view the cookies for the SoundCloud website and copy the value for the cookie named oauth_token. Where there is a placeholder in the command below, paste the cookie value you copied (make sure you remove the {} too).
Lastly, replace the placeholder for the playlist URL with your playlist's URL.
youtube-dl --add-header "Authorization:OAuth
{REPLACE WITH AUTH TOKEN FROM WEB COOKIE}" -i -x --audio-format mp3 --audio-quality 0 --embed-thumbnail --add-meta --download-archive "SC_Processed.log" --write-info-json --restrict-filenames -o "%(uploader)s - %(title)s.%(ext)s"
