New phone, no Play Store (doesn't work but not really a bug)
Hello! I understand that this is not a bug but a fault on my part, but I'm trying to understand if i can do something about it or not.
I use battlescribe since 2016 and I have a subscriber pass on my pc (and I'll keep using it) but I just changed my phone and bought myself a Huawei p40 pro. This phone, like all 2020 Huawei/Honor phones, does not have access to google play store/play service.
Here is what I tried to do:
-I moved all my data and compatible apps from my P20 pro android 10 (battlescribe works perfect) to p40 pro android 10 with the official phone clone tool, and the app doesn't work. It doesn't write the usual "google play services not compatible on your device" but it doesn't open. It's not the only one, so I didn't lose hope
-Cleaned app cache, data, force stop and uninstalled. I searched for Battlescribe on Petal Search (official "sideloaded app" search engine from huawei) and got a download link to APKPURE for BattleScribe apk version 2.03.25. I installed it, it opens.
-Now I have no game data, if I click on the data icons (between the heart and the three dots) it gives me a storage error. Close the app, get into phone permissions and give permission to access the storage.
-Now the problem is the same, but instead of the error I only get a really short flicker on the ad box at the bottom (like the page was updated) and nothing else
-I also just tried to copy the files folder into net.battlescribe.mobile.rostereditor from the old phone to the new one, but it doesn't work. I hoped it could bypass the data download.
TL/DR not a bug, just not working without play store/play services.
