Sonic Characters And Maps In Smash?
Actually, recently I've been thinking... The only characters in the Sonic The Hedgehog title sequence for Smash Ultimate (excluding stickers/background characters/trophies/mods) is Sonic, so I was wondering, what if more characters from that title were added? I've got some ideas for characters and some more maps, as well as some characters' final smashes, I'll come up with the moveset, taunts, and victory poses another time, but for now let's start off simple...
Classic Sonic: To begin with, if it wasn't for this little guy appearing in the SEGA classic's, those loveable 16-bit games and making a big impact on the lives of those who love fast paced games and making this blue blur so popular that he gained a Modern form, our Modern Sonic today wouldn't exist at all, okay I wouldn't say at all, it's still a possibility even if SEGA's Sonic didn't become AS popular as he is today, but still it seems very unlikely, just as Sonic's final smash is Super Sonic, we could do the final smash of Classic Super Sonic, heck even give Hyper Sonic more credit than he got via only mods for the modern games or simply appearing only once in the Sonic franchise (Sonic 3 & Knuckles reference hehe), so the final smash for Classic Sonic could be Hyper Sonic, just to make it appear in another game because cmon, we all know this form isn't widely popular as the other forms as it's only appeared in one game!!
Metal Sonic: Well, for this Sonic prototype robot, we could take one of his more destructive forms into play here, Metal Madness, Metal Overlord, Neo Metal Sonic... Some nice Sonic Heroes references, well taking these forms, let's make his final smash Metal Overlord
Miles "Tails" Prower: Let's be real here, Sonic HAS to have his little buddy Tails, him not being in Smash is quite a bummer despite Tails not being in the first ever SEGA classic Sonic The Hedgehog (before the update adding Tails and Knuckles in as playable unlocks), so for a unique final smash for Tails, let's go with Tails in the Tornado, flying past the screen, hitting whoever is on the ground or in the air, he'll come around 3 times before his final smash is over, of course his final smash won't freeze other players in place, so you do have a chance to dodge his constant flying
Knuckles The Echidna: Come on, without Knuckles, who would replace him in Team Sonic? Nobody should, because he's a big help in Team Sonic, well let's see, what's significant about Knuckles and his abilities? Well... He's an amazing digger and treasure hunter, he also serves the Master Emerald well and protects it as much as possible, now that's out of the way, I have two ideas for his final smash •He can obtain "The Shovel Claws" and dig underground, popping up out of random places to attack you •The Master Emerald could appear and Knuckles could say these lines as everything goes dark, "Behold, witness the power of the Master Emerald!" as Knuckles says this line, the Master Emerald could start to glow brighter, at the end any players nearby could be damaged and fly off, even possibly die, depending on their current radius via Knuckles and the Master Emerald and how damaged they were
Amy Rose: Sonic's #1 fan, no game is perfect without this loveable pink hedgehog around! So what would be a good final smash for her... Hmmm... It should be obvious right? She can use her Piko Piko Hammer to smash those around at a constant rate!
Cream The Rabbit: Cream is such an adorable character, very young too, alongside Blaze and Big, she sadly didn't appear in Sonic Forces, but here's something to make up for her disappearance! Cream's final smash must have something to do with Cheese, her best Chao friend! Like in Sonic Forces Speed Battle, Cheese could fly both directions, in front of Cream and behind her, hitting anyone in Cheese's path, of course this won't do too much damage, so it's very unlikely you'll die from this, but it'd be a cute little final smash if Cream ever did make an appearance
Big The Cat: Ah yes, the power portion of Team Rose, Big The Cat and his little pet Froggy are so adorable together! So then what could be something that resembles a final smash that includes Froggy? Well, how about a little Sonic X reference? Big The Cat fishing around for Froggy, but how would this go? Well, the pond could appear and Big could throw his fishing rod, it'll catch an unlucky player and suck them into the pond, they get damaged from the pond and the smash ends with Big fishing out Froggy, as well as the player flying out, depending on how much damage they took, they could die from it
Shadow The Hedgehog: This edgy "look-alike" of Sonic's is quite a character with his backstory, first made on Space Colony ARK by Gerald Robotnik in the Sonic X series, as well as his first game appearance being in Sonic Adventure 2, he currently only has a super form, as shown in Season 3 on Sonic X, after that no other forms have been shown, so what can we do with this? Sonic's final smash already makes him go super, so why not do the same for Shadow? But rather that, why not make Shadow do "Chaos Control" instead, it's something he's capable of doing and doing well, it'd be a nice, fitting final smash for him, using Chaos Control he can teleport around attempting to hit other players on the map
Rouge The Bat: Ah yes this batty girl, the one who loves to taunt others with her looks and say some inappropriate things sometimes, especially when it comes to Knuckles, so let's look at something that's significant about her, she's a jewel thief, she loves taking over the Chaos Emeralds, but she only gives them up when they're needed for more important things, so let's use these traits about her to come up with a final smash, since everyone loves the way Rouge looks (I mean, I can't blame them, I'm not in love with her looks but certain features about her and her personality definitely make her stand out from any other girl in the Sonic Universe) why not give her looks a little spin, like how Peach and Daisy's final smashes are with holding everyone in place and doing a little dance to make them fall asleep, we could take this and use it on Rouge, a few differences though is that peaches won't fall, she edmits hearts from her, and instead of making other players fall asleep, she stuns them with her stunning looks, as well as instead of her doing a little dance, she does a little blow kiss
E-123 Omega: Lasers, that's all I have to say about Omega
Espio The Chameleon: He's a ninja that can camouflage himself like a real-world chameleon, so maybe his final smash could be camouflaging into the surroundings and attack other players (you're in control), or he could throw ninja stars to hit players, but if it's the ninja stars choice, then it wouldn't deal as much damage as if he would camouflage into the surrounding area
Charmy Bee: We all love this adorable little bee, and with all bees comes a stinger, for Charmy's final smash, he could prick other players using his stinger, he targets a player and whoever is unlucky, he pricks multiple times
Vector The Crocodile: We all know that this big and green fella loves music, so let's give him a final smash related to music, he can blast loud music from a radio of some sort which damages the players as it's, to them, extremely loud, but for the sake of our hearing, it wouldn't be as loud, unless you turn your volume all the way up, then you do you...
Silver The Hedgehog: Awe cmon, this roster wouldn't be perfect without the one and only telekenetic hedgehog from the future, of course this is going to be an easy final smash decision, he will start to glow his very well-known aqua color and start to lift the ground up, or he could lift the player up, yeah let's do that, he lifts the player up and smashes the player into the ground, causing that player to take a lot of damage, he will only smash the player down once as more than once would just look like power abuse, yikes
Blaze The Cat: This fiery little feline has definitely got some tricks up her sleeve this time! A simple fire tornado would be too weak, so instead why not take Mario's final smash and combine it with Samus's final smash? And boom, there we go! Blaze shoots out a large blast of fire right from the palm of her hands
Emerl: Okay, can't forget about this nice robot now, it's sad he had to go in Sonic X, may he rest in piece, but that doesn't mean he can't make another appearance, with his final smash, he could do a nice spindash, since Emerl copies moves from those he analyzes, it'll be a nice fit for him (how many more times am I going to say "fitting" or "nice fit"? Hehe)
Tikal: Shes an ancient character, someone who also serves the Master Emerald right, she deals with many beautiful Chao and Chaos 0 itself, making sure it doesn't go haywire, what can we use here to make up a final smash for her... Hmm, this'll be a little tricky as I've only seen her in Sonic X, I hadn't yet watched any games featuring Tikal yet... Well, using some knowledge from Sonic Forces Speed Battle... Maybe she could blind players, when she activates her final smash, everything else goes dark as a light shines above her, the blinding light will cause players to get damaged, maybe that could work?
Chaos 0: Another easy pick, for Chaos 0's final smash, we could make his final smash Perfect Chaos, it's fitting and a very well known boss around the Sonic Fandom
Mephiles The Dark: Again, an easy pick, for his final smash, he could turn into Crystallized Mephiles, bam, done, moving on...
Infinite/Zero The Jackal: This'll be my last character for now, but a cool and fitting final smash for him would be his main source of power, the phantom ruby, using the phantom ruby he'll create illusions to damage players, haha a classic! When his final smash starts to glitch, that's when players will know that his final smash is over, and he will turn into unmasked Infinite/Zero The Jackal due to the phantom ruby getting destroyed, a final smash for Zero The Jackal would be him turning back into Infinite as the phantom ruby restores, like Samus and Zero Suit Samus basically, just more Sonic related :3
Now onto some new maps, at the moment we currently only have Green Hill and Windy Hill from Sonic Lost World, I don't know if any other maps have been added, it's been a while since I last seen any videos based on Smash Ultimate, but some nice maps that could be added can be the Blue Typhoon from Sonic Adventure and Sonic X, we can also have the 3D Chemical Plant, it'll be a nice Sonic Generations reference, why not include a map with a special effect? Let's add in Metallic Madness from Sonic CD with two post signs, once one is flipped it'll either take you to the past or future, if brought to the future, you'll be brought to the bad future, but in order to get to the good future, go to the past, and destroy those holograms like in the actual game! Then flip those signs and head to the good future! Or stay in the present even, you decide! The teleportation process will be taken from Sonic CD, but instead of Sonic flying, it'll just be the green background used in Sonic CD when Sonic is time travelling, one last map I'd love to see is a map from my favorite Sonic game, Sonic Forces, the top four maps I'd go for is either Imperial Tower, the Death Egg, Red Gate Bridge, or Luminous Forest (only because those are the areas that have my favorite OSTs in them hehe, cmon who doesn't love Fading World?)
Well...
